Obovate Leaf Shape

Definition: Teardrop-shaped leaf connected to petiole at tapered end.

Description: Leaf or leaflet is much wider at apex than at base This leaf shape is frequently confused with oblanceolate which is much longer than wide, but not as long and narrow as linear
